This design was named after Hedy Lamarr, actress, producer and inventor. While a Hollywood film star, at the start of World War II, Hedy co-invented a version of frequency-hopping spread spectrum communication for torpedo guidance. Like it’s namesake, this bag is glamours and multi-faceted, and is more than meets the eye.
How does it convert – metal press snaps inside will hold the tabs in place, simply unclip both sides of the strap, and snap the tabs inside to make a streamlined clutch bag.
Inside there is a small zipper pocket with a splatter print lining. The fabric is sourced from Australian businesses.
Both the leathers used are made in Australia, and my bags are designed and made in my MEW Designs studio in Brisbane Australia
As the leather is a natural product there may be slight variations in the texture and finish. The metallic red leather has a weathered finish.
