This design was named after Hedy Lamarr, actress, producer and inventor. While a Hollywood film star, at the start of World War II, Hedy co-invented a version of frequency-hopping spread spectrum communication for torpedo guidance. Like it’s namesake, this bag is glamours and multi-faceted, and is more than meets the eye.
The shoulder strap at it’s shortest is 71cm and fully adjusted is 128cm, measuring from each end of the swivel snaps.
Measurements are approximate as the leather is soft
20cm tall
28cm at widest
4cm wide gusset
How does it convert – metal press snaps inside will hold the tabs in place, simply unclip both sides of the strap, and snap the tabs inside to make a streamlined clutch bag.
The dye method results in a unique finish each time, so the lining is completely unique. Inside there is a small zipper pocket with a sunset ombré tape that matches the fabric!
Leather made in Australia, and the lining fabric was sourced from an Australian business. Bags are designed and made in my MEW Designs studio in Brisbane Australia
As the leather is a natural product there may be slight variations in the texture and finish.
